Presentation preparation services
The quality of English in oral presentations and the accompanying visual aids is extremely important. Three key factors comprise a successful presentation: a high standard of English, well-designed visual aids (overhead transparencies, etc.) and an attentive audience. The first two factors go a long way towards ensuring the third; even if the speaker is not fluent in the language, the audience expects a clear presentation that is easy to follow.

The Faculty of English provides assistance in two respects:

We design and prepare your presentation for you. This is normally done with PowerPoint or CorelDraw, but can be prepared in any other programme you specify. The presentation is delivered to you in the above-mentioned formats or as a PDF document. You then simply print the file onto overhead transparencies or load it onto your computer and you are on your way.

All you need to do is describe the nature of the presentation and the ideas you have in mind and supply us with any graphic files you may wish to use. We can also create these files for you.

We go through the presentation with you, giving you tips on more effective delivery and helping you to stress the most important points. We also highlight potentials areas in which questions may arise, giving you an opportunity for advance preparation.
NOTE:

Very large files are normally delivered on CD-ROMs. Arrangements can be made to have these files segmented and delivered on floppy diskettes instead. Special conditions may apply.

Please see our Submissions page for guidelines on sending your material to us. We also invite you to become familiar with our work procedures. You may also take a look at some of the courses we offer.
